    I actually found the lower band. Springfield Sporters had them labeled as an 1899C Serbian Mauser band. They looked the same and Serbia became part of Yugoslaviaicon after WWI so I took a chance. Perfect fit. Just missing the stacking rod from the upper band now. Will probably also replace the rear handguard when I find one with the barrel clip.

    I got tired of waiting for the new front band, starting to think I won't be getting a replacement after all. I carefully cut out the stacking rod from the broken band and screwed it in the front band I had. Rifle basically finished until I can find a replacement upper rear hand guard. Probably get a few more coats of BLOicon into it. I custom fit the band retaining spring, cut it down from a larger Yugoicon spring.
