    Persian Carbine Sights

Hope everyone is doing well! I have been eyeing a Persian M49 Carbine. However the sights are in Arabic as opposed to Farsi. Did the M49 carbine have sights in the Western/Arabic numerals? I just want to make sure before I spend money on it. Thank you all for your help!

Mr tickle, by using the term Arabic numerals I assume you are describing the way numerals are indicated or drawn as the way they are seen in the English language? Im sorry I cannot help with your question but it is an interesting one at that. If it helps any, I have come into possession of a carbine barrel that is about 18" in length and near the stub of the barrel there are a few Farsi characters which makes me think it must have come off of a Persian contract M98 carbine or something of the sort. It is in great shape at the crown and muzzle with a shiny bore but the sight mountings have been slightly booger-ed where the pin goes through but a decent metal-smith could easily repair I bet. For the life of me I have no idea why someone would want to separate such a short nifty carbine, what a shame.
