If I understand correctly the M32 and M38 are derivatives of the FN30 and the FN30 is a derivative Browning M1919.

The FN30 is a 30-06 version of the M32 and M38.

When you look at even the bolt of the 1919, it's not even close to the little FN Browning guns. They're like artwork by comparison. The 1919 series are much more plain and even...dare I say? Crude...
