This problem happened several time using different clips.

I thought you figured that wasn't the problem. I've had clips for 20 years that haven't caused problems. It well may just be the spring. But here we go back to the original idea of reading the faults and remedies posted here at the start of this section...

An easy way to isolate it to the clip latch spring is to pull the spring, give it a pull to stretch it some and try it again. If that fixes it, replace the spring. I, too, am not a proponent of replacing a grip of parts. One at a time and start with the easiest and cheapest.

I replaced the Clip latch & spring. The Enbloc clip ejection problem has been solved.
The past hour I have been researching my books but failed to find any dimension specs on the front or rear lug of the Clip latch. I'm going to assume the problem was the spring.

Later I will compare the new & old Clip latch and may even re-install the old part and make another trip the range.

Found the specs for the Clip latch @ Garand gear website.
The front measures .1225" the spec is .132" -.015".
The Clip Latch is within .0055", that's a small number....
