    Sn numbers on 84/98

I have what I think is a 84/98 but the SN numbers dont seem to add up! on one side of the blade is C1C44 so I think that might be the batch number for 1944? on the other side of the blade D1156. Then on the pommel there is two faint marks which I know nothing about. There is a horizontal line, and below is letters and numbers. You have to look at it through a microscope to make them out. To me it looks like...... something something A515. It is stamped twice, and on both stampings cant read the first two. Any help explaining the marks would be great, thanks ....paul....
Looking at it again the First two might be"Wa" which would make it an inspectors mark?

Waffenampt at the pommel, for acceptance. The line you see is actually the eagle's wings. The number may be a serial but I don't think they marked them to rifles either. The other is a factory ID... There'll be more along to help.

The clc44 marking is the manufactures code and stands for Richard Herder, Solingen, the 44 is the date of manufacture 1944. The Waffenampt # is assigned to a inspector so you could tell who inspected it.
Would it be possible to get a pic of the whole bayonet and scabbard if you also have that.

Sorry to say, no it does not match 2106498. I have been away a few days so that is the reason I did not respond sooner. I have some more questions about marks but always like to see if I can figure them out for myself first. What I am looking for is a good reference book for markings on US M1icon bayonets. I might end up putting it up as a post if I cant sort it out myself!

    paul.
