A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... This is sold but this shop is local to me, and I'm pretty sure they have more of them for around $450-500. I do not know if they would take a phone order or ship, but it may be worth contacting them via gunbroker or their website to see if they can get you another one. I don't know how helpful the complete kit will be if you only need an upper but wanted to pass it along.

Also, I'm really impressed with the fit of the Anderson lower posted. I can still get these very reasonable locally, and given I have a fairly valuable DPMS preban lower on my A1/A2 hybrid it's tempting to set it aside (Selling it does not seem to be an option due to the definition of "assembly" ) and put one of the Andersons on.
Thanks, Im going on Vacation next week and if I dont blow a pot of money Ill shoot them an email when I get back. That is what I need.

Do you have the name of their shop so I could call and talk to them about it? I you have a name I could find a number. Thanks

OP....this is just my 2 cents but don't use an Anderson lower for a A1 build. For a A2, A3, A4 or M4 build sure but not for a A1. Maybe it's just me but the reinforced rear end of the receiver really stands out to me. To me it's sort of like using a early square forge 604 upper when making a 602 clone.

I just built my father a almost perfect repica of the same M16icon he used in Vietnam while in the USMC except for the lower receiver. I couldnt find the right lower and the one or two i did find i thought were priced to high but other then the lower its exactly the same as his 1969 M16A1 with the 3 prong flash hider and he originally had the all chrome bolt carrier group but traded it in right away for a all black one because the chrome one could give off light at night so i bought a black one. It came out really nice. I ended ul dura coating it all in flat black and it came out beautiful
