    .30-'06 Parker Hale Safari 1968

Picked this up recently, because...because......because............I don't know why, let's face it.

At any rate, things have gone nicely in my attempt to reconstruct a retro sporting rifle.

Found some Weaver rings, a Weaver K4 C3 and about 45 rounds of the old Remington Bronze point ammunition which got her zeroed at 300 meters.
Overall, I find the rifle to be very pretty. Classic lines.

I assume this is an M1000---is it not?
The 1200s have the nasty rosewood trim and all that flaring, butt pads and rococo cheekpieces. Which always remind me of Disco shirt collars and other evolutionary dead ends.
