Anyone know what kind of helmet this is?

I recently purchased a helmet, and was wondering if anyone of you knew what kind it was.

It looks like some kind of english helmet to me, but i'm not an expert.

after WWII many countries continued using the Britishicon MKII Brodie style helmets, is the paint green or possible a desert tan? because many of these were used by the Israelis and painted a desert tan color.

Could be anything but the markings should be able to tell you who made it. Look up Brodie manufacturers. I picked one up a few months ago that turned out to be Canadianicon.

It may be a Belgian helmet.

Did Belgium use any of the Britishicon style of Brodie helmet other than those which operated from the U.K. after the fall of their own country to the Nazis? I thought that Belgium used the Frenchicon style of helmet normally or did they use both???

Yes Belgiumicon did use these too but I don't think they made their own. They had a bit of everything through time, as you say the Adrian as well. They had a few really neat helmets including a home produced paratroop version that looked much like an M1C or M2 but just a tad smaller in stature. A very compact and serviceable helmet I'd have liked to have worn for service...

I do have a Frenchicon Adrian helmet and when I tried wearing it I was surprised just how comfortable it felt, for a steel helmet.
