    Another Canvas Pouch ID Help

Here is another pouch I'm unable to identify. From the shape it appears to have held a tubular object. "148787" is written on the front. On the inside there is a number or letter that I can't make out with a square around it. Below it is what looks like a short word but again I can't make it out, followed by the number 1969.

I guessing it was made in 1969 and from somewhere in Europe because of the type of canvas used. It measures about 12" long and about 4 1/2" across. Any help is greatly appreciated.Attachment 75409Attachment 75408Attachment 75407Attachment 75410Attachment 75411

Have a look at the cover pop fastenings and the other metal parts such as the hooks to see if there are any manufacturer markings or words. Sometimes there are such markings which would obviously be very small. It may give us a clue as to if it's something from eastern or western Europe or from further afield such as Israel for example (probably isn't).

Material pattern looks like Polish stuff from that era.

More to follow if I find a match.

    Metal Hook markings

Good idea about looking at the metal pieces! The pop caps have no markings but the hooks do. I've included photos but they may not be clear enough. One side of the hook says, "MOD DEP" The other side has what looks like "UMC" or "UC" with a squiggle at the top connecting those two letters.Attachment 75451Attachment 75452
