Second to the last on far left end looks like a 15 year old kid. He looks happy, everybody else doesn't look too thrilled.

It looks like someone already took there weapons unless there lying down in front the Soldier holding his Firearm...I'm guessing. I think I see a Butt of a Rifle, but not sure.

I reckon the others are thinking something along the lines of, "Whatever, still in the army - just someone different giving the orders".

As for weapons, I suspect they came out empty handed and left them where they were. I think the last thing you want to do if you are attempting to surrender is come out of your fighting position with a rifle in hand.

    Artillery Luger

First World War weapon. I know a bit about them because my nephew was an avid collector and researcher of them, especially the snail drum magazine, and was almost finished writing a book on them when he died at 54. I completed it for him and Stewart Mowbray published it. It's a great reference on a small subset of Luger history.

Bob, Very Sorry to hear about your Nephew and that was Really Nice of you to finish the Book. To tell you the truth after all the Germanicon Weapons I've Google and I seen Plenty I never heard or seen one of these. I thought someone was going to say this was a photo shopped picture. I Wikipedia this Luger and some stories were unbelievable of what you could add to these like the Drum Magazine and what else they were used for. It's a amazing Firearm.

Bob did your Nephew die in a car crash coming home from the Tulsa show? I know this happened to one of the top Luger collectors earlier this year.
