    New 174gn 303 pills Bullet Factory

    Have just had my order dropped off from the Bullet Factory 840 ~ 174gn .310's projectiles they were very well packed against the postal pixies who like to damage things, works out to @50 cents/projie includes postage compares price wise very well against Sierras.
    First impressions were a well made piece not marked at all the meplats were exceedingly well done I selected 10 randoms and did a quick measure and averaged them out see attachment.
    I have loaded up 24 with my usual load I measured to the ogive on a Mk VII round and set this ogive up the same they look a tad shorter but I would rather do that than drive 100klm's 1 way just to find they did not fit.
    And using the magazine as a guide would not be a sound practice will test tomorrow or Thursday.
    The test will be conducted with a No.4 and my Sniper T over the 25yd target available from this site conducted thus;
    3 rounds Sierra and 3 rounds Bullet Factory from each rifle on separate targets sights will be set for 400yds and not altered.

    I got some yesterday, 250 to test in one of 3 rifles. My brother tried some the weekend before last, he said they proved better in a no1 mark Iii ht than they did in his no4T?? Tested at 100 to 300 meters and at this early stage the Sierra has the edge.

    The way I am looking at it is being a FB they will obdurate a bit better than Sierras hopefully if they go well will muck around a tad with the jump they appear to have a long bearing surface I feel the only way to get a real good drift on it is some one with a brand new barrel like an Armalon or something give them a whirl. As the varying degree of wear in these mil surps may not be indicative of a true indication of just how good they can go but all the same the name of the game is to have fun.

    I was going to try them in my pattern 14 as well, they tried our load using Re 15 which performs very well with the 174 sierra.
    Might try them with 2206h and 2208, yes it is fun Cinders we will be interested in your results.
