Lee Enfield No4 Mk2 SN question
hello all,
Just picked up an Enfield still in the wrapper... probably over paid but what caught my attention was the serial number being only 4 digits. It’s a 1955 No4MK2 UF 55Axxxx... is this rare or did I get caught in the hype?
thanks,
mike

Nope...... It just means that your rifle was one of the first 1000 to get one of the then new Serial number prefixes (UF55) followed by the sequential serial number of A-XXXX.
But DON'T unwrap it. It was only new once and guess what yours is....? Yep, brand new, factory fresh
