    RPA 2000 Info.

Time to pick your brains, I need help from someone that has an RPA 2000 target rifle.
I need the measurement from the back of the locking lugs to the front edge of the cocked bolt sear.

Here is an RPA Quadlock as an example.Attachment 76471

Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated.

Well, I worked it out for myself.
I was gifted a RPA 2000 as a thankyou for doing an estate transfer, big problem was the rifle was missing the bolt.
As that rifle was made back towards 1998-2000, bolts are not readily available, so with a bit of work, I modified a Quadlock bolt to suit the action.
This really only entailed reducing the head diameter of the .950 Quadlock bolthead down to .915 of the 2000.
As I had determined that this was the only difference after removing the barrel and lots of measuring.
So by removing the bolt handle and setting the bolt body up in the lathe, I ground the lugs down using a grinding attachment, then hand finished the the lugs until all was sweet.........shoots well, might even give it a bit more of a run over the long ranges........just 'cause I can.

It has always been a marvel to me how the Target Rifle Fraternity help each other, not just this rifle, but the several others I have been gifted, the countless thousands of rounds of different calibres that get dumped on me, and lately the assistance I receive with my Lithgowicon Collection.

This last week I have had a Collector mate contact me, he's parting with '26 and '27, both in the B1600s (contact me if you are interested)
and a Target Rifle mate locating a '37......."are you interested"?.......bloody oath mate, jeez I love the Rifle shooting movement.
