Mauser 71/84 magazine tube stuck

The action of the rifle is at fault, the cut off selector does not move, the cartridge spoon lifter is stuck in the down position.

That sounds as if the bits are more-or-less present, but something is jamming. If you can get the barrelled action out of the stock without damaging anything, the reason may be obvious. Check for a foreign body protruding out of the magazine tube and jamming the spoon.

I once had a 71/84 in my hands where the sliding button on the end of the magazine spring had disappeared and the free end of the spring was the culprit. Forcing the spoon up would have ruined the end of the spring, hence my serious advice: DO NOT FORCE ANYTHING !!!
