    Original Savage No.4T's I've seen were serial numbered on the forends at H&H. They didn't come from Savage with numbered forends. They usually just have the last three or four digits of the serial number stamped on. In the case of my 1941 Savage "less telescope" No.4Mk.1T, it's 0C160 and "160" is stamped on the forend. It doesn't have the Enfield examiner's stamp on the wood since it was never completed at H&H.
