    Been Refocusing on Mausers

Sold off a quarter of my collection this summer to refocus on my primary interest in Mausers, especially the K98kicon. Excluding the Gew88 and 98s, I have:

    1917 Erfurt Kar98a, matched
1925 VZ24 German depot modification, matched
    1935 S/42G, bolt MM
    1937 S/27 bolt MM
    1939 147, matched
    1939 243-Luft, matched
    1942 AR ZF-41, RC
    1941 bcd, Norge .30/06, matched
    1942 Depot XII (Mainz-Kastel #1497 of 6397) build off a bcd42, RC
    1944 DOU, matched
    1944 bnz4, matched
1944 DOT, a-block East German post war rework
    1945 SVW-MB, c-block, German proofed, matched

This leaves only a BsW. Yeah, "only". Once I find the BsW, I would like a e/M piece and a Standard Modell.

Nice grouping. I wish I could focus.

I apologize if I came off as being critical. I wasn't. Anyone can collect anything for any reason. It's just a personal preference of mine. I go for one of each major type and don't worry so much about varieties among the type.

That's what I do as well, but Mausers are my specialty.

Don't think it could be taken that way.
The reason I need to focus is if it is military & the price is right I am a bit like Mel Gibson in the movie Conspiracy theory.

    What's wrong with that?

I have slowed down considerably but still get antsy if more than two months go by without something new. Running out of bayonets, rifles, so the weird knives are getting purchased.

I am still seeking a Sovieticon M38, US 03, Canadianicon Ross. Can't afford the last two. Can't find the first, has to be in an M38 stock.

Having no one to answer to I suppose nothing. Antsy is a good way to put it. Off to find a copy of Catcher in the Rye.
