Mauser byf 44 P38 Picture Heavy

I recently purchased this excellent condition byf 44 P38 made by Mauser Oberndorf in 1944.
It only came with 1 magazine but it is matching to the pistol. The magazine is a P38v with the
WaA135 upside down spine stamp which is correct for this pistols manufacture date.
It's all matching not import marked and not a Russianicon capture forced match reblue.

It came with a well worn Luger P08 holster and Imperial period take down tool both of which
I have since sold to recoup some funds. By the condition of the bluing you can see this one
has not been in and out of a holster all that much. Upon disassembly and cleaning I found it
hasn't been fired much either. There is almost no bluing wear in the slide and on the rails
and the slide still had machining chips inside it so I assume I'm the first to have taken it
down that far since it was built over 72 years ago. It cost me $875 out the door and with the
sale of the of the other items I'm in it for around $600 now.

Here are some pics of it to enjoy. - Bill
