I did find the advert which I think CINDERS refers to, if I found the correct listing, the accompanying photograph seems a little on the small side to draw any conclusions, not that I'm any sort of expert.

I believe this scope and mount were fitted to a rifle that has been toted around the usual Australianicon on-line gun sales sites for the last 18 to 24 mnths, was listed as an orig No4 T rifle - it wasn't - scope and mount were only orig T parts

Apparently there was an auction held recently where some T's were auctioned and they were not the real deal much loss of face by the auction house, at least that's what I heard at the Manjimup Range last Saturday.

I would have thought that the vendor could have provided more than one small picture.

The trouble - if that's the right word - with a Mk1 scope are the unfriendly range and deflection graduations. Several years ago a member of this very forum, like some others (thanks once again chaps.....) who are prepared to put their hands deep into his pockets, he had some sets of Mk2 1 MoA clicker plates made simply to convert up Mk1 telescopes to the more useable Mk2 range and deflection scales. Then the trouble became the fact that owners of Mk1's wanted to keep them original! Yep......, complete with the useless range and deflection calibrations. You just can't win
