Shooting 155 grain Sierra Match King Palma bullets in a Krag

Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, shooting the 155 grain Sierra Match King Palma bullet out of a Kragicon.* Sierra reloading manual calls for IMR4064 for an accuracy load, but I'm really more interested is how the bullet handles not being up against the lands and grooves in an OAL short enough to work through the magazine.* Thanks.

When I had mine, it seemed to like flat based bullets better. It only had iron sights but 168 grain BT bullets did not shoot as well as 180 grain FB bullets. Cast bullets at 200 grains (314284 Lyman) shot the best at 1,600 fps (16 grains Al 2400). Only one way to find out, load em and shoot em.

I don't think you'll have to worry about a 155 being "Short enough". The only bullets I could seat long enough to come to factory length were bigger bullets. I don't think that one will seat secure enough (long) to function through the action. Like Dave says, load and try them.
