An impressive piece of engineering and to be fair, the man that did it not only understood it completely but saw it as simple. However...I've instructed lots of youth and not so young soldiers in weapons handling and manipulation. This one's impossible. It would be completely unmanageable for infantry in rough conditions.
Comparing it to the Charleton is not fair, since this rifle has a different receiver, bolt and locking system. The bayonet lug on the gas cylinder sounds a bit dubious. Impressive conception though. Chap seems to think Canada used the metric system during WWII.
