Not many Enfield's and those there had some ridiculous prices.
No.1 Mk V - decent condition complete matching. $1800
No.1 Mk V - Mk 3 forend no top wood. Decent metal. $800
No.4 Mk2 - Mummy wrapped. Wrap had been opened up and put back together. $1200
Only one I saw that was a decent buy was a No.1 Mk 3 dated 1909, all matching and complete
for $900.
There were a few others but nothing special and way overpriced. Passed on all.

the guy with the $1800 mkV has had it there for several shows, and personally i don't really think he understands what it is. agree on rising prices. i bought a really nice Lithgow no1mk3 all matching, including the production numbers on the bolt and action. had to pay $425. a shade high, but she was pretty.

there was another '42 lithgow there in slightly better condition, but a jovino import. i think she was honest, but the price was $700; i passed.

burmese contract no4mk2 $750; irish contract no4mk2 $900; pass.

there was a 1940 lithgow i almost bought. she was really rough, and probably not shootable in that condition. she needed a new buttstock to be shootable. offered $150, and the guy wouldn't take it. pass.

There was also a 1941 Lithgow with a cut off slot I thought was interesting but way over priced.

I offered the guy with the MkV the two I have for $1000 ea. Crickets.

two other non-enfield observations...

saw a nice canadian ross for $1000 that i passed on, but wish i'd bought. i started to ask the guy if he'd take $900, and didn't. dang it...

came away from the overall show with this distinct impression -- the really hot weapon in milsurp right now is the japanese arisaka. people were buying them in quantity. i'm not an arisaka investor, but i have noticed that the prices on them are going up steadily. i turned some silver into cash at the show. the guy in front of me was doing the same thing, several thousand dollars. he said he was going to take every dime and buy arisakas. wonder why they're so hot?

Advertised on Usedguns.com.au a MkV me if I was at that Tulsa gun show for $1800 I would have snapped it up ~
