There's one I just read about that just kicked me in the gut...."The Suicide Dog"... The Germans trained German Shepherds to go under the Tanks thinking theres food and the Ordnance that was Strapped on its Back would explode. They kept these Shepherds starving and sent them to US and Allied Tanks. But had to 86 it after a couple of Shepherds turned on 2 German Tanks.

It's after the Germans break into the gun position at the end. The rat is held by the tail in big pincers and the pencil goes off while being transported. It would have set off powder bags...
If memory serves, The Germans find it on the gun carriage.
I remember the bit about the long pincers holding the rat. They looked like a pair of blacksmiths tongs. The rat starts fizzling and the Germans look like they are about to go into cardiac arrest.

That's right, and officer picks it up by the tail and a soldier takes it with the long handle tongs.

"Desperate times call for despriate measures" I suppose.
The "bat bomb" actually got used - once. Sadly it was due to an error, and the training facility was the target.

Play the movie and stop it where you want it. Use a snipping tool and steal the pics you want. Screen shots...

Regarding the film The Guns of Naverone, I believe that the idea of leaving the rat bomb and other explosives on the guns and carriage, in obvious positions that were easy to spot, was in order to give the Germans "something to find". The actual explosive device that did the damage was hidden on the elevator rails which led down to the magazines for the shells and charges if separate to the shells.
