Picked up this minty second model Smith and Wesson .455 cal which was the personal side arm of Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Seymour Ditchburn. He signed up in 1915 served as a machine gunner in the 122nd Muskoka Regiment was wounded in the leg in Belgium recovered in England, was sent home to Canada. Re enlisted and granted a commission in the Royal Forestry Corp. and went back overseas for the duration of the WW1 R.F.C. stamp appears on the back strap. The gun appears unfired.Information
