Krag with hidden mag

Here is a photo of an interesting Krag I picked up. The person that did the work on this did one excellent smithing job. Rifle is very accurate with cast bullets.

So, do you just poke them in from the top? What caliber is it?

It is original cal. 30 40. Blind magazine holds three.

Sure like to see a few more pics if you can manage for us...looks like a nice hunting rifle now. Looks like a Marbles semi buckhorn rear sight...
