Does anybody know the stock manufactuer

Does anybody know the stock manufacturer of a Bavarian Underwood M1icon. It is a pot belly style marked AAC in sling well and letter K inside, there are no proof or refit marks. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It may very well be a Beechwood replacement stock. Known used by the West Germans and Austrians.
Checkout the Austrian/Bavarian link at the top of the page.
Whats the rest of it break down to....

Down the page (link) will show SA Birch stocks.
They can really range in color, depending how it took the stain.
For Birch I look for a yellow ring around the back of the grip.

Looks like birch to me. The US never used beech in any rifle stocks that I am aware of.

    TWH,
I can't tell about the OP's stock, not enough to see in that picture. Also would expect a SA stamp IF it were Birch. Therefor just guessing on his, as he says it's on a Bavarian UEF.

Be it War time or post War, I've never seen the use of Beech by SA.

    Cheers,
    Charlie-painter777
