One of my clients owns a Mk19 photo reconnaissance Spitfire; he also has a Sea Fury. He still flies both at events around France and Europe.
There are a lot of videos on youtube of his collection. Having the chance to sit in the Spitfire when visiting the collection a few years ago was a schoolboy dream come true!
Some links for those interested. First link is the first Spitfire flight for one of the Breitling Jet display pilots.
Must be a fair bit or torque as he has the stick fairly well over into the Rt quadrant in taking off you get some glimpses of a P-39 at .39 & .47 plus a jug as he taxies out nice vid's

Can you explain the Kangaroo rondals on the Sea Fury?
I was correct in 1944 no month given the Lancaster received a new rear turret made by Rose Bros it carried 2 x .5 Brownings and according to the blurb of the picture could house 2 gunners Source: Lancaster By M. Garbett & B. Goulding Page 55 picture of the turret with gunner interesting to note was the perspex profile.
I got the chance to look at the Sea Fury and the Spitfire in the hangar a few years ago. The Sea Fury is a big plane when compared to the Spit'.
They had the engine cover's off the Fury; it's a very impressive motor. 18 cylinder radial (two banks of 9 cylinders). Some serious plumbing on that!
Just another small whilst on the subject as this thread is loosely around aircraft it would be nice to see a Hercules engined Lancaster in the air these were not made in any great numbers but had distinct advantages over the Merlin engined Mk's as the Hercules was a radial engine so not subject to coolant damage they also employed the paddle prop blades to which the crew's called them "Paddle Steamers".
They climbed better than the Merlins not to sure if they had a better ceiling and seem to think they were a bit faster in all round performance than the other Lanc's they were very popular with their crews and why not anything that gets you through your tour/s
There was a P-51 at Jandakot airport I was operating a crane doing tilt up panels and during a lunch break went over into the hangar and had a good look at it right up close it was great awesome aircraft. The owner also had a Mig-15 2 seater trainer there partially stored as it was only allowed to take off once more from the airport and not return due to noise restrictions so he just mothballed it bureaucrats eh? Why build your house next to an airport and then complain about the noise.............
