    NR Barrel options?

    Hey all.

First time into the m1 carbines and I wanted to pick up a NR barrel. Where are my best options in Canadaicon?

More than 18.5". I think criterion makes 18.75". You can own a regular barrelled m1carbine but you can ONLY take it to a range.

There are 19 " barrels available, they are few and far between. We have a couple members here and if you look over on CGN you'll find more barrels available and a man that assembles them regularly, Gunsdora...you'll find him here too. Not sure if Criterion offers 19" barrels. You won't find 18 1/2" barrels. Search for availability of 19" carbine barrels online and then a dealer to import it for you.

For the rest of you looking on, firearms here are either registered or they aren't. Either restricted or not. Many of ours are named specially so it doesn't matter if your AR has a four inch Walther barrel or a twenty two inch match barrel and no gas system. It's restricted and needs registering...there's so much more.
    Regards, Jim

Tradeexcanada.com has this: New M1icon Carbine Barrel, Non-restricted Length, 470mm, made by Citadel to GI Specs. New in the white. $269.00 You'll find it in the "Actions, Barrels, Gun Parts" menu of their product listing.

They come short chambered approx. .010", so you'll need someone to finish ream the chamber to the correct length before use. The barrel is "in the white" which means it needs to be finished by parkerizing, or blueing before installation.

These NR barrels seem to be the only ones available at the moment, so best to grab one soon.
