    A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Why did the Germanicon's do this and not that when it came to weapons development. It usually came down to one factor----- Adolf {Shickelgruber} Hitler. He didn't want a autoloading rifle like G43 he also forbid the manufacture of STG 43/44 but they built it anyways and the troops loved them. By the end of the war he was ordering troop movements for units that no longer existed.

    Dalliance

    He dallied in Franceicon when by rights they should have been already geared for getting across the channel after France surrendered, Fighter command was on its knees but when the British bombed Berlin they switched to London which spared fighter command as they were pounding the airfields to death. Split his fronts by attacking Russiaicon a total case of poor tactics fighting a war on 2 fronts. Restrained his great Generals and Admirals so they could not do anything and went to war totally unprepared materials wise Doenitz wanted it to start around 1942 when the U-boat arm was better prepared to strangle Englandicon.
    After the battleship Bismark fiasco stopped his fleet from doing anything period......, Held the Tiger tanks back from the beaches in Normandy where they might have had a good hand in the battle, dallied in fighter development with the ME 262 being made a bomber instead of a fighter therefore delaying its entry into the air by a full year. There is heaps of things Herr Hitl*r did that hampered Germanyicon's war effort thank god he dallied otherwise we may have had a totally different outcome to WWII.

    One thing I found interesting was the allies Great Panjandrum Wheel to break the Atlantic wall quite hilarious to watch on utube........... see below;
