    I have some oak blocks I can try. The pads on this particular vise are removable. Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a go Saturday. If that don't work I'll try the mechanical driver.

    Finally after 8'days of Kroil and working it over she gave up and came out. That one was stuck good. Now for the clean up.
