Long Branch No. 4 MK. I* (T) sniper 71L0573 reunited with its original scope

Long Branch No. 4 MK. I* (T) 71L0573 has now been reunited with its factory original matching scope C No. 32 MK. II 690-C

The rifle was found and purchased by "Jawes" at the Show of Shows in Louisville, KY, USAicon in 2015 and I later obtained it in a trade. "Lee Enfield" found the matching scope in Ohio and alerted me to it. THANK YOU, LEE ENFIELD!

The Canadian special Maltese Cross mark is on the bracket. This stamp was used inconsistently on some of the Canadian sniper rifle components and is on the rear part of this mount, so I know it was a Canadian bracket. I have found the Maltese Cross in the following locations on Canadian Long Branch sniper rifles: scope bracket, front pad, back sight, fore arm underside near the muzzle and the underside of the cheek rest.

Special thanks at this time to "Lee Enfield" (Edmonton, Alberta, Canadaicon) who spotted the "buy it now" ad for the scope matching my rifle and Jawes (Burnaby, Britishicon Columbia Canada) who had traded the rifle to me a year ago and who assisted in the shipment of the scope.

There is more to the story and another person to thank, but that is an unfinished chapter at this time.

    you're welcome,

    don't forget I'm looking for MkIA 312-c

Maybe I'll get lucky myself instead of just helping other people... I think I'm up to 5 or 6 matches now.

Good news all around. It's good to see these mated back together. It sure sounds like everyone worked with good will and made it happen. Well done, chaps!
