M1903 with C Stock

I bought this from a fellow after the asking price continued to fall right in front of me and I had to do something about it. The rifle has interesting features and comments or info on this rifle would be welcome so I can learn more about it. There are drawing numbers on the stock and handgaurd, other marks on the comb, cut off and what looks to be a hand or fake (maybe?) inspector stamp to me. There is also a S stamped into the barrel channel where the rear of the sight collar sits and a barrel mark that maybe I think means it was sent back for straitening or something. The bore is shiny bright with no obvious defects. The sights are aligned dead straight for six o'clock hold at 200yd graduation. I also noticed that the digits in the serial# are crooked, there is a bolt stop and some punch marks at different places on the receiver, and the rear sight has the volley notch at the top. C stocks do not come around much my way so I do not know much about them. Thanks, Brian
