    VHT Wrinkle Finish Paint

Not sure if any Military vehicles had the wrinkle finish paint on anything, (for those who don't know its the finish seen on MG dashboards, Comercial Sterling SMG's, old cameras and scientific instruments etc)

Frost have the black and red on sale, may be a pointless post but may be of use to some.

Both red and black wrinkle finish paints have been used on Ferrari engines over the years. (also Lamborgini and Maserati).
Not sure if there's anything special in the application process; (we used to send stuff out for refinish) looks good when applied properly.

Crinkle finish, made by TRIMITE, the same people who made Sunkorite for the MoD off and on. Incidentally, Sunkorite was a patented formula made on contract for the UKicon MoD and that's the reason you'll see several different manufacturers. Back to patents again........ How do you patent a paint formula? Beats me!

I assume the patent would be for the chemical composition that gives the paint it's specific properties; such as rust prevention or heat resistance. I doubt it would be for the colour. But I may be wrong !
