Needing info on 03A4 Remington '43

Pretty nice piece. Got it at local collection auction. Barrel is stamped 43 and has correct looking stock set but.... It has a J Unertl 4x scope. All I've seen is they had Weaver's. Will post pics asap.

Nice looking rifle, shouldn't the trigger guard / mag housing be stamped on an A4?

Sn is 3820xxx and is stamped 03A3... So probably a fake?

The triggerguard should be stamped, the scope mount base is much too new to be original, the notch for the bolt handle doesn't look right but a picture, close up, with the bolt open should show whether the stock is an original 'A4 stock. From what I can see it would vote fake.

I do have a period correct stamped guard from another auction I attended a while back but I don't want to further a fake.

The 03-A3 stamp is not offset and the scope mount is indeed incorrect. Paid $675. Million$ question is what's it worth?

Not an A4 and lots of 1903 parts... however the bolt body looks A4 and those aren't cheap.

I'd pay that for it right now. I'd like it as a shooter...looks good. Wouldn't matter to me...
