    1938 Walther PP

So, I just purchased a 1938 Walther PP. Pictures and description seem to dictate very good condition. Numbers are matching on the frame and the slide. I believe it is a commercial made but I haven't gotten my hands on it yet. Serial # is 285249P. I wish I could post a picture but my phone is not cooperating in sending any pictures through to my computer. I ended up paying $700 for it which included two magazines. Does anyone know of any serial number databases for PP's? Does anyone have any pictures of prewar holsters or one that would match my gun? Did I pay what the pistol is worth?

    Proof Mark

    JNT412,
My serial no. chart indicates you PP is a 1943. If you look on the slide and the barrel you will see the proof marks are an eagle over an N. This proof mark was used from 1940 till the end of the war. If you PP was a 1938, the proof mark would be a crown over a N.
Hope this helps you in some way.
