Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. It's a bit strange, but I woke up today at 4:42 and thought of "Go for Broke" and Daniel Inouye. Medal of Honor recipient in 442nd Regimental Combat Team, and senator.

Daniel Inouye was a l o n g time Hawaii Senator. They recently did a major road improvement from Pohakuloa Training Area to Kona on the Big Island which rightfully honors his name as a WWII MOH Vet.

My childhood friend's father was in the 442nd. He never talked about his experience, at least, to us kids. In his house we like to look at some photos of his 442nd buddies. When we played "Army" as kids we sometimes fought the Kruts and sometime the Japs. We never associated the idea that he was of Japaneseicon ancestry. We were Americans fighting the bad guys. My dad served in China, 14 AF, and received a Silver Star and a Purple Heart. We were friends and neighbors.
