So I have an early pre victory model S&W on the way. It is lettered to the Britishicon Purchasing Agency in NYC Oct 41. Blue finish, medallion stocks, 5 inch barrel. Chambered in 38/200. However this gun has absolutely no British proof marks. Am I to understand that the only time this revolver would have been stamped would have been if sold out of service or re-imported? Thanks
