One U.K. dealer was asking around 3 times the "going rate" for a Vickers 1907, @ nearly £300, recently which I considered a little too much for me.

Best to ignore the little blue marker BAR, it's pretty inaccurate, take my location for example, the IP address says Berowra, NSW.

What do people think about the reproduction 1907 that's for sale in the link, Post 4? Normally I don't care much for "repro collectables" but for the price being asked it doesn't look too bad at all to me. The markings clearly don't look right but apart from that, from the pictures, it doesn't look bad to me at the asking price. The advert clearly states that it's a newly made reproduction so there can be no confusion on that score and nothing to complain about on the grounds of being misled by the advert.

The original Post 1 clearly states, in his post, that he is from Texas which when I was at school is part of the United States of America. If I was unsure of exactly where Texas is and I wasn't aware of the purpose of the blue button and didn't feel inclined to look it up in an atlas I could have simply Googled "Texas" which would probably have told me that is still part of the U.S.A..

Flying 10 as per repros price wise at least right now the real thing is affordable still in the US, so repros don't interest me. I'd personally rather have one of the rearsenaled rearsenaled blades with over stamps over over stamps than a repro. Just my humble opinion in the market I am in. However I could see it in other markets if the real thing is out of reach. Only issue there though in a decade they will be marketed as the real deal I doubt the blade steel is as good but that's just a guess.

If your not fussed on a maker and just want the year date the rifle was produced then just go for an EFD one as they are fairly well priced as for the studs you can have 3 types small stud, tear drop or the large stud up to you but the scabbard needs to be in good condition if they are say a matched pair the scabb is dated the same as the bayonet then it may add a little to the price.
Forget early Lithgows as they will empty your wallet faster than the wife in a dress shop.

Hundreds of these bayonets are available in the UK from World Wide Arms. I'm sure that if you asked them they'd look for something that fitted the bill. It'\ll cost you of course but they're in business as opposed to a charity concern. And remember this. It will ALWAYS be cheaper yeaterday

According to my maps, Texas is just over the Qld border near Stanthorpe , I pass the turnoff regularly when heading north.
