    Bubba's Krag

I have picked up a couple of bubbazized Krags for cheap and now find that one of them will not feed. I took it apart and can see nothing wrong. The spring appears Ok as do the rest of the magazine parts. Cut off is OK. I do notice that the bad Kragicon has a follower that flops around when the mag box is closed. The good Krag follower has spring tension when the mag box is closed.

I am then assuming I need a new follower assembly. ( It is only the end part that flops; the end towards the butt.)

Any opinions if my diagnosis is correct or should I try something else and what is a good source of parts?? Thanks for your help.

    Follower spring

Sounds like perhaps the spring isn't on the follower correctly. Here's a quick pic for you, you should be able to readily see if it's on there or not.

I've had a couple Krags that had feed problems, and they were corrected by replacing the follower spring.
The follower shouldn't flop around while the box is shut.

    Bubbas Krags

Checked the spring it looks ok and seems to have plenty of power. I looked at a schematic and the part that flops around is the carrier. If you have any other ideas please let me know.

Are you sure that your spring is not broken? You may have to remove the gate to determine if the end is broken off. That is about the only thing it could be.

Thanks everyone. I pulled the magazine apart and compared it to one that works. Everything looks good. Spring Ok Carrier and follower look OK it seems that the follower and carrier do not go far enough closed to push the round into position.

I am going to contact the dealer I bought from and go for fix or replacement.

    Thanks for the help.
