    Rifle H34288

Is that because the boys from Hereford had a hold of it?

There are approximately a dozen rifles without any detail and as luck would have your's is one of them. What year is the receiver marked? Its a long shot (pardon the pun) but it may be possible to find info coming at it from a different angle, besides it's always worth adding what info I can back into the records for later research.

    Cheers,

Hi Simon, Please confirm that you are looking at the correct serial No. E34288 and not H34288.

    Eric,

Rifle 141 was shipped to Glasgow Police on the 08th May 1974.

Rifle A528 was shipped to store at Donnington on the 13th Nov 1970.

Rifle E389 is an interesting one, the handwriting is a little difficult to read but I'm 99% certain it was shipped to Police, Lewes, on 28th Nov 1971.

    Cheers,
    Simon.

Thanks for helping all members with sharing your information. I am here in Iraq with the US Army, but have a L39 at home. I asked my wife to check it's number, it is: UE.72.A1086
Any info would be appreciated. I only have a few Enfields, but really enjoy them. Thanks again!

Rifle E199 was shipped to a Mr Isley (maybe Isbey) of Liverpool on the 12th December 1969.

    Cheers,
    Simon.

I think it's a safe bet that Mr "Isley" or "Isbey" was an RFD in Liverpool if he had Envoy No1 and No199, more research into this one I think!
