    Crosman M1 Carbine BB Guns

    Anyone own one?
I recently came across a few on the eBay auction site.
I see them complete with the wood stocks being offered up for nearly $400
The real magazines are selling for $75-$100.
Reproduction mags with no internal storage running about $30.

Much like real M1icon's, they are being parted out and quickly grabbed up by buyers.

Here are the results of a COMPLETED/SOLD search of past auctions:

Guess I was just surprised what they are selling for.
A current listing of a working M1icon Carbine BB has a Buy It Now of $395 plus ship.

    $16.49 back in 1967, 50 years later....... Here's a old sales add:

Owned one back around 69 or 70. It had a plastic stock and I believe it cost about $19.00. The magazine was for looks but it held BBs. You pumped the barrel to cock it. And the BBs loaded in a slot on the top but I forget how many it held in the magazine that fed the rifle. Had some great BB gun wars and didn't shoot anybody's eye out although looking back I am amazed we didn't! I believe my younger brother stole it after I enlisted.

I have one but now it sits in the safe with the 'adult' carbines. It has a wood stock so 1966 or 67 vintage. It still retains its original magazine. I was amazed at how much it may be worth now!! I had the seals redone a few years ago and it runs flawlessly. Since it's cocked via the barrel being compressed in the receiver, many will have a lot of wear at the muzzle; easier to cock by pushing the barrel into a tree or fence post for a kid!!!

I have 5, 1 has the wooden stock and 4 have the plastic. I'm missing 1 original magazine/bb holder. All I have pictured in my files are 2 of the plastic stocked pieces. Guess I need to update my pictures.

I got one at an auction for $30. The magazine disappeared so a clever individual made one out of a block of wood. Looks convincing.

I have a later one with a plastic stock, the handguard is wood and almost looks like one someone made to replace a lost handguard.

I think the air seals on mine are past their prime though, when I cock it and pull the trigger nothing really happens.

Have seen more than a few of these up for sale, especially recently. Prices seem to be going up and up, especially for the more rare wood stocked ones.
