    Sarco's Retail Store

Don't bother. This is the third time I went there and received zero service, zero help and nothing but "why are you bothering us" the entire time I was there. I went specifically for three things they advertise on their website, the biggest being a Star B pistol. "if we have one, it's in the case in the corner" Not one of them was willing to show me the pistol and I asked three. I located one of the other items, a small holster, there were two of them and they both had different prices and both were significantly over the advertised price.

I have never had an issue with them with online sales. They are fast, they don't mess up the orders and the prices are reasonable. But I really question why they bother with a retail store when they provide such miserable service.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Unfortunately, it has always been that way. The mail order folks are nice, courteous and quick to help. The salesroom folks should not be exposed to the public, most are prima donnas who think they know more about guns then you do. Sarco should close their retail store and do strictly mail order. Part of their bad "rep" is from their retail outlet.

Unfortunately it is not just Sarco. There is a gun shop in a nearby city named Guns & Ammo. For many years it has not so affectionately been known by another name. Guns & @XX h*!%^. I just don't get it.

Sarco's store prices for items are all ways or most all ways more than the price listed in their catalog or the Shotgun News ads. They use to have a sign hanging in their Sterling N.J. retail store that clearly stated that prices on the items for sale may reflect a higher price than that is listed in the Shotgun News Ad .

Their international sales suck big time as well. I have phoned, left messages and E-mailed never to get a reply. At least at Numrich us Canadians can log into our cart and order parts.

I gave up on Sarco years back. They would cash my MO and lose the order. I had to call and call to get it fixed. I have good luck with Springfield Sporters and Bill Ricca.

If you ask to use the men's room at Sarco's, you are escorted to and from it.
