The Shootist: DOD Ends Sale of Expended Military Brass to Remanufacturers

It's happening and this article is very informing on how they plan to disarm us. With the end of military brass sales, I guess it's buy whatever you can get your hands on and don't throw any brass away or scrap it, hold on to it.
We all need to start thinking alike and use our voting rights, the NRA, your local and state pro-gun organizations and word of mouth.
The elistists are amongst us, so be careful on what you say to others, keep a low profile and begin to educate yourselves to what the government plans to do to gun owners. Remember that the second amendment is not about hunting, it's our last bastion to fight a run-away government and others who wish to harm you and your families and take away our GOD given rights.

Another example ot our Gov. cutting our nose off to spite us. They will spend our tax money to demill the brass and then sell it for scrap price only.
Just more democratic control freaks at work on our dime.

Read the information on Top Brass at link provided, they are hot, and so should we be. They will do this in part knowing it will drive prices higher in the shooting industry in general. I wonder how this will affect law enforcement agencies and their practice ammo, not sure their is any exemption for them. Cities and counties are strapped for money too, and many police departments rely on mil surplus brass, at least for their M4's.

Write your Congressman and Senators right now, the link Mr. Anthony provided has a sample letter. Well written letters DO count.

I have a bag of .223 brass that started out at very little, but now has well over a hundred LC-07 and other good quality brass in it. The local sheriff dept uses our range, and every time I am there I drop by when they are not firing to scrounge. I only get a little bit at at a time, but pretty soon I will have several hundred good quality .223 brass, for free.

Responding to two Democratic senators representing outraged private gun owners, the Department of Defense announced last night it has scrapped a new policy that would deplete the supply of ammunition by requiring destruction of fired military cartridge brass.

    Yep !!
The system does work. My political critters each got mail from me about this. I was not alone in complaining and reminding them how they got their jobs.
The problem is there are too many, who "Let George do it", among us. It's not George's problem, it's yours. They listen to the loudest voice, so YELL at the top of your lungs, every time you see or hear of such nonsense.
The email addresses are available for each state, and emails cost nothing. Put the addresses in your address book and use it regularly, both positive and negative.
I get personalized responses from mine. While I'm sure there are readers doing it most of the time, they are taking the temperature of the senders, and that gets passed on to your rep.
The NRA is a powerful voice, but it cost money for them to be effective. This is free, and backs up what they are able to do.
