7.62x59 Ammo Is it Czech? Could it be 7.62x54?
I have a crate of 7.62x59 ammo. I believe it is Czech. What can you tell from the crate labeling? With what rifle can this ammo be used?(s)? Is it equivalent to .303? 30.06 etc? It is FMJ, silver tip, steel core I believe. My best guess is that it is equivalent to 7.62x54 and good for shooting in Mosins.
If I choose to sell the crate (800 rounds), what would be a fair asking price? Shipping could be a tad expensive. There's also a dozen or so "stripper clips" as well.
What can you all tell me? I'm interested to learn and whether I am correct about it being usable for Mosin rifles and carbines.

It is standard 7.62X54 ammo. Silver tip meaning a steel case, steel bullet and steel core (aka) an LPS round. Good shooting ammo corrosive primed. Packaged in 20 round boxes without clips. Those if original com-block made are worth a few dollars by themselves. The ammo would sell now for about $300 maybe more for the full case plus shipping.

"59" is the cartridge designation that is used for 7.62x54r. I think they also use "T65" for 7.62x51.
