HELP! Value? Fake? & Advice!!
Good Afternoon,
I hope I'm in the right place! If not I apologize.
I recently acquired a M1 Garand. All the sn on the gun are SA and appear to be post war. What stumps me is there is a BNP stamp with a crown on both the barrel and the receiver. My understanding was LL garands were sent over before and during the war, not after as my SNs suggest. Any explanations for this? I've included pictures I have here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...Dg?usp=sharing
On a side note, could anyone let me know roughly how much this is worth. I got it in on trade and there seems to be so much variance on price. I've been doing research now for days but it's getting overwhelming.
Thanks!!!

Hi Rcathey,
Thank you!
I've uploaded all the pictures I took last night to my google drive. Here's the folder:

Many M1 Rifles went through the
British commercial proof house post war before being sold off into the trade. I have a 2.5 million range 1944 manufacture rifle that is the same as yours. They are really a different class of collectible than a legit, early 1941 M1 Rifle that was shipped over as part of the Lend-Lease program. The few originals I've examined were comprised of all factory original parts and looked to be pretty much unused.
Hi Brian, that makes sense! I'm still having trouble wrapping my head around it though because my gun was manufactured in 1954. Different good? Different bad? Or just different?
Thanks for your input!
