    Products

I received this from a shooting provider whom we procure our Berger projectiles from and all our equipment like the Farely rest bit of a read but is showing the growing trend that makes it all but nigh impossible for us here in Australiaicon to acquire the gear we need to pursue our recreational pass time.
Its pretty gut wrenching when you think we have as a nation stood by the USAicon in countless conflicts yet certain sectors seem all too eager to punish us by not allowing products to be exported to a known supporter of them.

    Hi,
Firstly we wanted to say Seasons Greetings. We hope that you have had a good 2017 and look forward now to 2018.
Also to let you know that since it is now 3 weeks until Xmas we are going to offer FREE FREIGHT on orders until then.
This will apply only to online orders via our website. Phone and email orders will be subject to the usual freight charges.

As to other news from BRT we are slowly getting more product into store now after having a terrible few months due mostly to freight problems coming out from the USA. We don't normally talk about other peoples products or services but unfortunately we have been dealt a very bad hand (so to speak) by DHL. So we cannot recommend this company anymore. After being quite happy to take our money for many years providing much of our freight services to and from Australia they decided to suddenly apply their Global Anti Gun policy. We had several shipments in September returned to the USA, even after passing Customs Clearance. Even though at BRT we do not sell any products which requires a licence to buy or own. The goods we sell are not restricted items. The delays and costs to us have been substantial. DHL eventually decided that since every one of our products is firearms or shooting sports related they saw no reason to keep our account open. Their policy as portrayed to us by them is:
All firearms and parts are PROHIBITED
    All scopes are PROHIBITED
    All firearms accessories are PROHIBITED
Any product related for the shooting sports is PROHIBITED and this includes tool kits and screwdrivers
So as shooters and firearms owners we are getting very much wedged these days and blamed for many of societies' ills. None of us like it but every company is entitled to have its own policy so there is nothing we can do about this. But we can inform all of you about our experience and let you make you own decisions or investigations if you ever need to move freight Internationally.
We now have made alternative arrangements with several freight companies and most of it will now be carried by FedEx which so far have been very helpful. But regardless of which carrier we are still having lots of unexpected issues. The latest this week is US Customs have held a shipment of Farley Benchrests and require not only a description of every item on the invoice but a detailed description of their actual use. Some very odd things occurring world wide currently.
Thank you for your continued business over the last year.
