ebay best bet for missing parts. Both originals and reproductions can be found. Be prepared for very high prices for originals.

Unfortunatly the cleaning rod and monopod for the Nagoya zero series are unique along with the Toyo Kogo long rifles. The rod is longer as is the monopod than the later series t99s. But having a mummed and matching example is always a good thing and hard to find. My first arisaka is one of these Nagoyas I picked up from a veteran who brought it back from the Philipines. There is a man named Don Schlickman who makes nice repro parts for Japanese firearms.

That's a nice long, especially matching, low number and with mum and AA sights. Does the stock have original finish? Get a rod and pod from Don to make it look good. Doubt if you would ever find originals, I have one like it with original rod but no pod. Ray

Thank you. Yes, it is all original finish. I'll contact Don to see what he can do for me. The rifle shoots very nicely, took it out the other day. Even with gloves on, that long sight radius made it easier than a standard 99. Can see why they switched though. This is one long Tom!

Monopod
Would someone tell me how to tell the difference between the different pods?
I sure would appreciate it.

Unfortunately, those appear to be mislabeled standard type 99 rods.

I have a Type 99 Long Rifle made by Toyo Kogyo, SN in the 27,000, in great condition, missing monopod and dust cover. From what I understand they made respectively 30,000 of those in Toyo Kogyo and an other 8,000 in Nagoya.
How much would that rifle be worth?
