two color M1 helmet nets

I am attempting to date the introduction of these two tone helmet nets. These fit the US Army M1 helmet but could fit other helmets. Early photos of the Aleutian Island invasions of Attu and Kiska show troops with these two tone helmet nets.

Were these nets used in the UK ? any information would be appreciatedAttachment 91561Attachment 91562

I have a Canadian Turtle shell helmet late WW2 vintage has the same two tone netting as far as their origin I can't help

Those are indeed Canadian WW2 issue helmet nets. Originally made for use on the MkII helmet they were also added to the M1 helmets issued to Canadians that participated in the Kiska operations.
