Help identifying P-37 (?) braces/straps?
Good evening....going thru a box of "stuff" I found at a garage sale, I came across these 2 straps.
They appear to my untrained eye as possibly P-37 braces. But they are different. I am less concerned with their originality (vs. a repro item) than I am with simply identifying their intended purpose.
They are different lengths, and constructed differently.
*The longer of the 2 (approx 50") is marked "FINNIGANS L8 1941" then a broad arrow and "35" underneath, then a larger "L". This appears to be a web brace. Size large...left shoulder maybe (based on the small retaining strap in the inner/rear. Is this correct?
*The shorter of the pair is unmarked. It is approximately 43" overall. It has a much smaller retaining strap. This appears too short to be a shoulder brace. Is it a generic utility strap? A water bottle strap? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.
Mike

Basically you have two left-hand 1937 Pattern braces of wartime economy (stitched together - not woven in one piece) type construction. It looks like one is 'Normal' length and the other is 'Long' length.
