    1909 Peruvian Mauser

Just picked up a beautiful 1909 Peruvianicon Mauser yesterday. Learning to deal with rifle regulated at 400 meters. It's a fun rifle to shoot.

Not 100% sure about Peruvians, but typically the 400 applies to the battle sight - can you flip up the rear & see a shorter range?

400m is the minimum on Peruvianicon Mausers with the Lange Vizier rear sight. Copied directly from the Germans with the Gewehr 98s.

Great rifle. I love mine. Had a higher front sight installed and now it is a beauty to shoot.
Also, 7,65x53 is a very pleasant round to shoot. Kicks moderately, but still with authority.
