Lol, it may take a few days to come up with 10k! I suspect there's a chance we'll see this IP again at some point in the future. However, I'm somewhat surprised these faked up carbines don't come up for resale more often. My thought is that maybe these fleeced buyers really think they've latched onto gold...fool's gold in reality.

The seller who deals in high end firearms should have caught one of the many red flags and known something was not right.
If he missed the clues then how could one ever trust his judgment on any other firearm?
IMHO the seller flushed his reputation down the toilet with the description on this one for a mere bag of shells regardless of the sale price
Barrel a straight up fake as well as the stock and other parts. Some parts have wear and/or refinished and others look brand new which is a clue.

Well I sent the seller a link to riverbanks actual webpage showing the IP hammer. Both had same milling marks. I also sent pics of orig markings. The bad thing is seller is committing fraud now I feel. He just collected 10j for something riverbank can make for 2000 or less

Maybe "if" the buyer holds on to it 5-10 yrs, shoots the **it out of it and does a lousy cleaning job. Give it that more original/used look and resell to someone as smart as he is!!
Not that I'm saying he should try and "sucker" someone else.

It's crap and will always be crap. With so many fake parts, it's hard to look long enough to identify USGI parts.
The seller should know better. The buyer should know better. Just because one can do something doesn't mean they should. It's called integrity. One has it or they don't though it may be acquired later with wisdom. It's easy to be dishonest and lack integrity. It's very hard to be honest and have integrity.
If nice guys finish last, why not strive to finish dead...last.

Look at the wear on the safety, mag release and butt plate. Not consistent with the wear on the other parts of the carbine. That was the first thing I noticed. GIANT RED FLAG! Also, an IP in that condition would almost have to have some clear provenance. I see no mention of it. Just too many things that aren't even close to correct. I do hope it was a shill bidder. If it wasn't, somebody got taken to the cleaners.
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!
